What to expect

Discover Incheon. You will experience more about the Korean history and culture while enjoying the traditional Korean ginseng festival and taking a closer look around the DMZ.

Conditions of Participation

  • Meeting place will be announced later
  • Lunch (central market, by yourself)
  • World heritage (Ruins of Ganghwa Dolmen)
  • Under 15 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
  • Over 36 month baby's tour fee is the same as an adult.

  • 10:00 AM - Pick up at Hongdae station
  • 11:10 AM - Arrive at Ganghwado JoYang Textile Cafe

Joyang Bangjik café

The café was the first Korean textile factory and reborn into the complex cultural space.The old building was abandoned for a long time and finally changed into a beautiful café which is combined old style with modern interior.Tourists can feel Korean culture and history through the various reminiscence things like old bicycle, sewing machine and signboard. So, they can enjoy drinking coffee while looking around the beautiful interior and taking memorable pictures.

Ganghwa Peace Observatory

The observatory is the place where is the most visible the North Korean territory so we can even see the North Korean life in there.Currently, the place is considered as a cultural tourist spot for peaceful reunification establishment of foundation.Extensive mud flat of the west coast and the tranquil North Korean territory across from the observatory make you feel peace and relax.

Yeonmi jung Pavilion

Do you know why the pavilion was named Yeonmi jung? There is a saying that Yeonmi jung Pavilion was named for a shape of the water branches from the stream of Han river and Imjin river looks like a swallowtail.The pavilion is one of the nice scenic spots in Ganghwa island and we can enjoy scenery of Paju and Gimpo city in there.

Ganghwa Dolmen site

The site was designated as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site.There are more than 100 dolmen sites in Ganghwa area. One of them, there is the world’s biggest scale of dolmen so it is worthy to look around there.

Ganghwa History Museum

The museum was established for organized exhibition, historical education and cultural events of Ganghwa area’s history and culture from prehistoric ages to Modern and contemporary days.As the precious relics from our ancestors are gathered in the museum, tourists can look around those various events there. The museum is a highly recommendable tour spot since the place is playing an important role as a complex cultural site.

Ganghwa Ginseng Festival

The Ganghwa area is traditionally the origin of high-quality Korean ginseng. Tourists can enjoy various programs including ginseng-themed events, ginseng auction and cultural and artistic performances there.
