Escape the grey Seoul streets and step into a sea of vibrant tulips at the Taean Tulip Festival, one of the world's top five tulip celebrations. Walk among over 300 species of tulips in brilliantly planned gardens, then continue to a sun-drenched strawberry farm to pick your own fresh, juicy berries. This springtime escape combines the visual magnificence of a world-class flower festival with the tactile joy of harvesting nature's candy.

Your morning begins with pickup from central Seoul — choose from Hongik University Station, Myeongdong, or Dongdaemun — before the drive south toward Taean. The coach glides through awakening spring countryside, green hills dotted with farmland and small villages. As you near Kkotji Ocean Park, the landscape transforms. Patches of red, yellow, and waves of color wash across the hillside: thousands of tulips in full bloom, their petals fresh and velvety, reaching toward the spring sun.
Walking through the festival grounds, you're surrounded by visual poetry. Meticulously designed garden beds showcase 350+ species of tulips — scarlet reds, sunshine yellows, deep purples, soft pinks, and elegant bi-colors. The scent is delicate and fresh, with hints of earth and growth. You'll spend hours wandering the labyrinth of color, discovering new vistas at every turn, sitting on hillside benches framed by blooms, feeling the gentle spring breeze.
After lunch, you continue to a local strawberry farm where the experience shifts from visual to gustatory. Wearing a small basket, you move between rows of ripe strawberries, their ruby-red skin practically glowing in the afternoon sun. You'll pick 500g of your own berries — some still warm from the sun. The farmers show you which are perfectly ripe, and the sweetness of a sun-warmed strawberry fresh from the vine is entirely different from shop-bought fruit. Your basket fills as you wander, and the joy is as much in the picking as in the eating. By evening, you return to Seoul with the taste of spring on your lips.
